Sometimes I find it refreshing to take a look back at where it all started for me. Here I was, an Australian Expat in Dubai UAE, working full time while studying part time. It was only at the tail end of my Business degree that I decided on a creative elective for fun- a 12 week Photography foundations unit. Which BLEW MY MIND! After spending 2 years trying to finish my Business degree, I had a light bulb moment! I realised I wanted to become a Professional Photographer and open up Cain Photography.
My daughter Taylor was almost 2 years old when I fell in love with photography. It was 2010 when I bought my first professional camera and by 2012 Cain Photography was born. With every click of the shutter button, my love of photography grew more and more. I invested in a great Canon camera and fabulous photography courses.
As I started my journey I focused on shooting Newborn babies only. However as I progressed through my photography journey, I realised that I wanted to venture into different genres. So I progressed into Maternity, Family, Commercial & Generational Photography. I am SO GLAD I did. If only I knew what I actually wanted to be (a professional photographer), I would have chosen a different degree. BUT at least I found out right?! Better late then never I say! A highlight for my business was being featured in Timeout Dubai for Kids back in 2016 (article below).
We decide to move our little family back to Perth Western Australia in 2018, my beautiful home town where we have decided to raise our daughters and as I continue to grow my business, even during a global pandemic, I am so grateful to have found my true passion. If you want to learn more about what I offer as your potential family photographer, I can send you a price list straight to your email just click here.
